They have never worked out for me in the long run. It's always been a waste of time. (not a complete waste of time, of course)...but it's so much easier to find a great match when you're in High School or college.

They can work but you both have to be committed to it and trust each other.
I've been in one for 2 years, and while it's hard, he is definately worth it. I do think that it's easier if the distance is not extremely far (we are 3 hours apart and see each other as often as possible) and also if you can agree that at some point one of you will have to move to continue the relationship (my situation is long distance until I obtain my degree). You just have to decide if the relationship is worth it.

they work if ur committed to making them work. =] and if u guys really really like each other and wont be tempted to like anyone else. like in any important relationship, you need trust. so yeah, trust yourself and ur boyfriend not to find someone else or anything like that. and it'll work out perfectly.

even though u guys dont see each other often... once u guys do.. its often a really big deal. unlike... relationships that arent long-distance coz they practically see each other everyday. hehe.

hmm.. but if u wanna take ur relationship a step further... as in getting married.. then i guess u guys will really have to talk about the whole distance thing.

yeah they do... we have an international dating site (www.innocentangel.org) and there are many members who have already an long distance relationship... and i mean really really long distance... they see each other only one or 2 times in real and use interenet during that time....

I guess its not an happy relationship but it may work... but i guess its not a final solution and a change should happen after some time if it should be a happy end.........

They are hard. It takes alot from each person. I was in one when I was younger and the guy couldnt handle it obviously and he broke up with me. Other than that it was working fine. I would see him once a month and we would talk on the phone every night. You just have to work at it like any relationship but you have to work harder. Good luck. I hope this helped.

If you hate sex and intimacy it can work very well. If you know when you will live near each other and its not too long, it can work ok too. People get antsy for sex and real hugs cuddles....so it does wear thin after a while. I would say it can only work if you both dont accidently meet someone better and readily available in the meantime...ie you stick together by default - no-one else around so you keep the focus.

I believe that they can only really work if you two truly Love each other and will do anything possible to stay together.
