I have a 2003 Megane. I put the drivers window down yesterday and it wouldnt go back up. Friend a mechanic says the motor is gone on it - any idea how much this will cost to fix? Just 2 months out of warranty - typical !

There was a recall or Service Bulletin on the electric windows for the 2003 Mégane. Was this work carried out on yours?
If not, you might be able to get the work done free by the Renault dealer as part of the recall.

go to a breakers yard and get an ECU for it first and plug that in this means taking the door panel off and it is usually a grey box , if not whilst you are there take the window mechanism out should all be in one piece with the motor expect to pay about £ 20
£30 for it and fit it yourself its a matter of about 6 or 8 bolts and a multiplug 1to 2 hours max .
good luck
