It is good English and good manners to start with others and to finish with oneself. A freely translated Spanish proverb says the burro and the ill mannered lout always start with themselves.

Well first of all its Proper English and i believe that ti would be kind of wrong to put urself first in the sentence...It doesnt even sound right when u say I and Bob.... I think even Me and Bob sounds better than that....but stick to the basic rules.......

I believe it is a point of etiquette and politeness to put the other person first and yourself last. I do not think it is an issue of grammar at all.
Though I think the issue of avoiding two consecutive vowels is valid from a comparitive study of languages. Many languages solve this issue by blending the two words into one.

I believe that you need to put third person pronoun before first person pronoun when you are writing more than one pronoun in the same sentence. Therefore, "Bruce" must come first as the third person pronoun and "I" must come last as the first person pronoun.
Sorry I can't find the exact rule. hence saying "I believe".

All that said, I prefer to just say "We".

The first has 2 vowel sounds next to each other. Doesn't sound right
