First of all thank you very much for paying taxes and speaking english.
Second not everyone who is against ILLEGAL immigration is racist.
I am for immigration, my father in law came to this country when he was 6 years old BUT he came here legally. However if you don't have a green card or a visa you have no RIGHT to be here. That may sound mean but rights are given to U.S. Citizens. If you want to to get a work permit or whatever and you do things right I'd let you sleep in my guest room lol. But many illegals (and lets cut the pc crap about undocumented)many illegals come here with no respect for our laws our language or OUR RIGHTS. That was proven in the rallies all over this country were illegals flooded the streets with mexican flags crying about how they deserve welfare and medicare (which they dont pay for) and other rights given to people who are here LEGALLY.
I'd like to appoligize if that offended any illegal immigrants who read this but I won't because this is just how life is. If you were this is outspoken in your countries this wouldn't even be an issue.

FYI Vicente Fox kills or imprisons ANY illegal immigrants he finds in Mexico no questions asked......

I am sure there are racists out there. However, I feel like I can speak for the VAST majority of those out there who are against illegal immigration when I say it has nothing to do with race. Yeah, I'm white, I am a "cracker" if that's what you want to call me. But, you know what, I have plenty of friends who are hispanic- from various latin nations. And, I even speak spanish.

The issue is that there are millions of people in the U.S. who are undocumented, and have come here in opposition to the law (they crossed the border knowing that they would break our laws in doing so). It is a fact that these millions of illegal, undocumented immigrants are a burden on our hospitals, our healthcare system, and many other areas in the various federal and state funded welfare programs. It is also a fact that these millions of undocumented illegal immigrants have access to better, more comprehensive healthcare coverage than myself, I guy that works like a dog while also trying to get through college and paying obscene amounts of taxes.

Those are the facts, and it has nothing to do with race nor skin color

I'm hoping that they are going to start construction on a huge wall lined with razors to seal the borders off and anywhere there is places to jump it to get in to this country. I hope that they are working on a plan to carry machine guns everywhere there are illegals coming in and use them if necessary.. I am hoping that NAFTA is repealed so that no Mexican truckers can bring more illegals into our country. I am glad that you have been here for a long time and have become citizens legally. I am glad that you took the time to learn our language. I am glad that you pay taxes like the rest of us but what I don't understand is why you are saying that you are limited to many things? What are you looking for? You believe in entitlements? Hand outs? Welfare?health care? What? You are not entitled to any more than those of us who have born and raised here for generations. And I am not a racist bastard as you have mentioned in your question. (A little anger management perhaps?) I simply don't understand what you mean by saying that you are limited. In my state you would be having more things handed to you than the rest of us. We are now the minority in our own country. Ya, so maybe I need a little anger management perhaps.

You didn't say if you were asking about illegal immigration or legal immigration. If your family has been here for 20+ years they should have become legal remember What Reagan did for you? There are others waiting in line to come here legally why should anyone get to cut in line?

“News” on Illegal Immigration

State Costs of Illegal Immigration:

Estimated costs to the individual states most negatively impacted by illegal immigration (costs to education, medical and incarceration):

California - $10.5 billion (2004)
Arizona - $1.3 billion (2004)
Texas - $ 4.7 billion (2005)
Florida - $1.7 billion (2005)
New York - $5.2 billion (2006)

Federal Cost of Illegal Immigration:
WASHINGTON D.C. (August 25, 2004) — A new study from the Center for Immigration Studies is one of the first to estimate the impact of illegal immigration on the federal budget. Based on Census Bureau data, the study estimates that households headed by illegal aliens used $10 billion more in government services than they paid in taxes in 2002. These figures are only for the federal government; costs at the state and local level are also likely to be significant. The study also finds that if illegals were given amnesty, the fiscal deficit at the federal level would grow to nearly $29 billion.
Among the findings:
•Illegal alien households are estimated to use $2,700 a year more in services than they pay in taxes, creating a total fiscal burden of nearly $10.4 billion on the federal budget in 2002.
•Among the largest federal costs: Medicaid ($2.5 billion); treatment for the uninsured ($2.2 billion); food assistance programs ($1.9 billion); the federal prison and court systems ($1.6 billion); and federal aid to schools ($1.4 billion).
•If illegal aliens were legalized and began to pay taxes and use services like legal immigrants with the same education levels, the estimated annual fiscal deficit at the federal level would increase from $2,700 per household to nearly $7,700, for a total federal deficit of $29 billion.
•With nearly two-third of illegals lacking a high school diploma, the primary reason they create a fiscal deficit is their low education levels and resulting low incomes and tax payments — not their legal status or their unwillingness to work.
•Amnesty increases costs because illegals would still be largely unskilled, and thus their tax payments would continue to be very modest, but once legalized they would be able to access many more government services.
•The fact that legal immigrants with little schooling are a fiscal drain on federal coffers does not mean that legal immigrants overall are a drain. Many legal immigrants are highly skilled.
•Because many of the costs are due to their U.S.-born children, who are awarded U.S. citizenship at birth, barring illegals themselves from federal programs will not significantly reduce costs.
•Although they create a net drain on the federal government, the average illegal household pays more than $4,200 a year in federal taxes, for a total of nearly $16 billion.
•However, they impose annual costs of more than $26.3 billion, or about $6,950 per illegal household.
