I've just started a diet and di something lovely the other day :
Take a mini maan bread and grill according to instructions, split in two and fill with a mixture of the following: chopped spring onion, peppers, sugar snap peas, cucumber and grated mature cheese plus a sprinkling of vinegar. I added black pepper cos I like it but you can adapt this idea to include whatever veggies and seasoning you or your child likes. The naan bread (mine was garlic and coriander) makes it really tasty so you don't notice the lack of butter, meat, etc and I only used half the cheese I grated (my dog was very happy!)

Assuming its for adults, a slice of red onion works for me.
I also like to mix in a chopped up peperoncini and a chopped up yellow wax pepper into a tuna, chicken or egg salad. And sometimes substitute a little mustard for the mayonnaise.

Bread of your choice
Low fat spread
caraway seeds (optional)
spring onion sliced
Alfalfa
Radish sprouts
Unwashed Rocket
Chilli and Garlic Flakes - ground
Put all ingredients between your bread slices. Press down hard, wrap and eat when ready. This is my choice. I know it is not sociable, but hey, it hits the spot!

Turkey and lite swiss with lettuce and tomato in a pita. Actually you can throw anything into a pita and it would be great. Sometimes I put leftover chicken and veggies in mine.
