Yes of course you do. Hearing protection is specific to the role you adopt.

You can use hearing protection for anything you want except for plugging your ears to not listen to your supervisor. LOL

P.S. You get issued your hearing protection in Basic Training

THIS IS COMING FROM A SOLDIER THAT IS CURRENTLY DEPLOYED. YOU GET ISSUED THEM IN BASIC TRAINING. AND IF YOU DO EVER LOOSE THEM YOU CAN BUY MORE
