I have also been asked around 2 lakhs for workpermit visa and total of 3 lakhs as other expenses. Is this is ususally done?

no such thing happens like that, no matter how authentic it may seem. Best to ignore it; and don't ever EVER fall into those scams.

If it sounds too good to be true........it is......dont believe that spam

Especially if they ask you for personal information.
