~ Hey, Try_Again...

~ Had our daughter NOT pushed Christianity on her mom and dad, we would still be Catholics!

~ I praise the Lord God Almighty that my Bride of 37 years gave her life to Jesus 5 years before she was returned to Him...

~ Now, as a Christian, I know where she is at... in heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Had we still been Catholics, I would have been paying and praying to get her out of purgatory... Sheezzzeeee.... what a dilemma they have to deal with!

~ So, my answer to you...

~ Try_Again...

~ is... NO!

I am one of those who knock on your door.
It is up to you whether you accept or reject it.
Jesus did the same thing and many rejected him.
And he did it house to house.
Acts 20;20
If you choose not to listen, it is your decision.
The ones who knock on your door are in fact trying to save your life. Because if you do not accept what the Bible teaches, what Jesus taught, otherwise known as the Good News, and Armageddon arrives, your blood is not on their hands.
Your outcome will be a one of many bodies that will not be able to be buried and will become food for the birds.
(Revelation 19:17) I saw also an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice and said to all the birds that fly in midheaven: “Come here, be gathered together to the great evening meal of God,

(Revelation 19:21) But the rest were killed off with the long sword of the one seated on the horse, which [sword] proceeded out of his mouth. And all the birds were filled from the fleshy parts of them.

Bird food is MORE...HORRABLE

I think that people have the wrong idea of what it means to have religion pushed on them. Try taking a walk through the streets of Baghdad, and I think you'll learn what it means to have religion forced upon you. Of course, you might also learn what it means to have a carbomb take your arm off, but I digress ...

I just don't think that people trying to convert you count as forcing their religion on you. After all, if you don't like what they have to say, you can always leave ... or ask them to leave ... or you can stop reading the post ... or you can block the person from your email. Its not like these people are holding a gun to your head and telling you to pray for salvation or you will die.

People are always going to talk about religion, and followers are always going to try to convince you that their's is the right path. If you don't want to hear about how you're going to hell, stop listening.

Nope, I cannot say that anyone has pushed their religion on me. People have tried to convert me, but that is not what I perceive as "pushing" someone's religion, it is merely propagating it which is fine. I conceive that "pushing" religion is inflicting harm, legislative measures, and other forceful acts. Simply being preached to though is nothing bad.

I think it is a good thing. It upsets you because you let it get to you. I had a muslim man try to get me to go to mosque with him. I couldnt go (bad time frame). When your held honor is appealing enough to someone to try to convert you, (in most general ways) means you are a good person. There is a feeling of worthiness in it ( you dont have to convert to feel that). It may also mean they care for you. I never knew of anything wrong with that.

No, but unfortunately I have pushed my faith on other people at times in my life. Looking back I regret what I have done to a few.

Two young girls called at my front gate seeking financial donations for their church.
I am an atheist.
I explained my position and explained their position. I suppose I was guilty of 'pushing' my lack of religion onto others but I wasn't, I was merely explaining my view of their delusions.
They didn't get a peso from me. "God will provide?" Yeah, right!

Sure it is. I don't like it. I tend to hate misspelled words too but, I just laugh, shake my head and get over it.
