A few years back I was aproached by a girl claiming she was going to be w/ my ex forever. And she went on to talk about marriage, children, etc. My ex told her about me, thats how she knows me. Now recently she approached me to show me their child. Was she being nice or proving to me things went as she/they planned?

It could be either or. You are the one that knows her and him, what do you think? My guess would be that if you hadn't any problems between all of you is that she is being nice. Even if she is not trying to be nice, don't rise to the bait. Just pretend that she is being nice and respond in kind. After all, the relationship with you and your ex is basically over. Also, if she is trying to be vindictive, your not rising to the bait will probably frustrate her.

Well maybe she was just letting you know but most girls are very catty these days and you have to be careful.. if she was being rude about it or sorta seemed like she was throwing it in your face then she was probably trying to prove to you things went as she planned.. Don't let it get to you.

It sounds like she is a very jealous individual with serious self-esteem issues and a high level of insecurity. She likely wanted to prove something to herself rather than to you and the act of bring the child help seal it for her.

It kind of depends on how she behaved when she showed you their child. Was she snotty about it or being like most new mothers. If she was snotty, she probably just wanted to prove something to you. Some people just cannot be happy without being a little catty.

She sounds real insecure and is trying to prove to you that she's accomplishing her goals. I wonder if your ex is happy.

Just ignore her. It seems she is trying to prove something and its kind of sad that she has to do that. Just avoid this couple in the future and find your own happiness in life.
