I've known him for a year after 2 mths we were best friends. This August he left for California for school. [I live on Long Island, NY] He has an apartment out there so he's staying for the 4 years of school. I've been planning a trip out there after the semester is over for a month [middle of May-middle of June] Lately, there's been much discussion about how we're friends. And just friends. He's always brought this up, not me. But he'll say he loves me. Like at the end of a phone conversation. I never know what to say, I've always reserved that for someone I'm romantically involved with. Then tonight after not really talking the past 4 days, I call him and ask him why he's been weird the past couple days. He ends the conversation abruptly, saying he had nothing to say and would call me when he did. He called back a minute later and apologized for being so mean. After that he tells me he's "crazy about me". I don't know how to interpret it. I've been in love w/him since the day we met.

He could be at the stage where he has found out that he really loves you. He might have been trying to see if you loved him by saying, "We are just friends."
The only thing you can do at this point is confront him. If he loves you, then you can work it out. If not, then you can work it out. If he does love you and you say nothing, you WILL lose him, FOREVER. He is going to cut you out of his life, and try to move on.
So, if you care about him, it is up to you to confront him. He has already shown you that he is scared to do so.

When i read this question, i burst out laughing . Cuz i've been in the EXACT same position as your friend some time back.
I'm pretty sure he's obsessed with you. Next time you meet up with him, just act with him like a lover would..say lovey things and stuff...if he reacts by saying "why're u being weird", then he's not in love with you, but is deeply attached.
But if he kind of accepts what you're saying, i'm sure he's secretly in love with you. And this i'm sure is what's the case.

You two are so madly in love with eachother. Tell him exactly how you feel, just like he did. You two sound a couple that could last forever. Just tell him and everything will fall into place. You two will have a good relationship, for some reason I can tell these kind of things, haven't been wrong yet,

That "Finding someone..." quote sounds like baloney. It doesn't really mean anything. Just because a man will have sex with you doesn't mean he has feelings for you. Stop having sex and see if he still treats you well and sticks around. Since he describes you as his friend, that is about the best you can expect to mean to him at this time.

well if he says he luves u, then say u luv him too. i mean u do so its not like ure lying. if he wants to take the relationship farther than kool. from what u wrote it seems that way so i guess u guys have probably go out soon.

It seems your feelings is mutual, he seems very nervous to tell you his true feelings. Maybe it's best to confess how you feel about him because it will be hard loving someone you can't have. You wont know his feelings unless you ask or he eventually tells you.

if u really love him then he deserves to know how you feel...if you guys really are best friends then it would never hurt to talk about having a relationship... it huts to love someone so much and not be able to tell him... so tell him... after all he is your best friend so you can tell him anything. and plus hes,"crazy about you."
