When you say "indian" judicial system, do you mean native american legal systems? Because "indian" could mean from india. Either way, not a lot of people know about those judicial systems. I met a man who worked on a reservation doing civil litigation but he didn't indicate that the system was any slower than mainstream America. if you mean native american, what is slow about the system? Where are you located? Do you mind giving a few more details?

If u are talking native american judical system u should know that a lot of the laws of mainstream american don't apply to you, which has been to your benefit, economically. i'm not sure if you are still then entitled to the constitutional benefits. I'm interested to find out however.

YES there is lot of red tapism in the judiciary. With todays changing scenario where the offenders are turning cleverer and more brilliant in their crimes, our judicial process must be so designed that the trial takes place at the earliest and the guilty is placed behind bars. With the judiciary not reforming itself there have been numerous cases where the guilty have gone scot free.Just as our economy is becoming fast paced, our judicial process must also be made people-friendly and tech savvy with reduced trial time and quick judgements & appeals.

You can hope of a speedy trial if you will hire a lawyer on a contract basis instead of paying them on every hearing. The judges also play a major role in it.I have heard that in some cases you can get rid of it by paying a lump sum to your lawyer.
The judges should be paid according to the number of cases he has handled successfully and the case has not gone to the high court or supreme court.

To assume that there can be a *judicial system*, itself is a great danger, especially if someone enjoying power is making such an assumption. The presence of dilemmas and the difficulty in overcoming them largely account for the delays. Judicial systems, per se, can be thought of as anti-feminine or anti-children, if one goes to nitty-gritty of each case. Ignorance of those in government, who are responsible to bring in changes is the single biggest hindrance to justice getting delayed anywhere.
