That depends. Would you rather spend time praying in a safe and sound church while your fellow man goes out to fight an unwinnable war at your expense so you can continue to "pray" for his soon-to-be-doomed soul? I thought the Bible was all about anti-war, so you basically just contradicted yourself, congrats.

What good does it do our secioty for people to pray to an invisible man that Christianity claims is ALL KNOWING!

If this God is all knowing then he knew before creating anything how all of this would turn out! Since this God has a plan then logic must dictate that every evil thing we see is part of this God's grand plan!

So to pray and ask this God to change something to which he has had a plan about since before any of it began MAKES NO SENSE WHAT SO EVER!

Clearly this God likes the evil that we have other wise he wouldn't have set things up to be the way they are!

OR

THERE IS NO GOD AND EVERYTHING THAT IS GOING ON IS THE RESULT OF PEOPLE'S CHOICES AND ACTIONS! WHICH WOULD MEAN PRAYING TO A NON EXISTANT GOD TO CHANGE THINGS AND DOING NOTHING YOURSELF IS REALLY STUPID!

EITHER WAY PRAYER IS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!

Anti-war protests will bring the troops home safe and quicker than kneeling at a pew and whispering at an altar

A protest accompishes: Alerting other people how you feel about a given subject. Alerting the policy makers that you are discontent with them. The possibility of policy change.

Church time accomplishes: Nothing beyond sitting around and everyone agreeing that "we're right and everyone else is wrong."

No. Unlike church, anti-war protests could actually affect something.

Considering the fact that the majority of people in this world are religious I don't think that church has done anyone any good

Our nation is engaged in an immoral and unjustified war. We are losing, and we are sending more of our amazing soldiers to be killed. I think such a thing deserves conscientious protest, regardless of religious affiliation or lack thereof.

when was the last time protesting did anything? when was the last time (you can prove) praying did anything. maybe people should start righting bills and proposing them to congress, actually getting involved instead of just complaining.

Neither. People should spend more time right here on Yahoo Answers!

I think there isnt nearly enough protesting going on.

You cant just sit there in church and close your eyes and hope it all goes away.
