Does a pell grant increase if my tuition goes up?

Im thinking about transferring to a better university but the tuition is a little more expensive, i was just wondering if the amount of a pell grant had anything to do with the cost of tuition? And if it doesnt is there anything you suggest to help cover the additional costs?

You can only qualify for a Pell if your EFC was under a certain amount, I think it's about 4000. But there are other grants that are determined by a higher EFC, like the FSEOG. When you fill out the fafsa they will tell you what you qualify for in the SAR.

The Pell grant award has a range between $400 and $4050.

The amount you get depends on:

your EFC
your cost of attendance
whether you're a full or part time student
whether you attend for a full academic year or less

You can only receive one per year
You cannot receive grants for more than one school

There are scholarships for a variety of things including ethnicity, clubs, hobbies, and even wearing duct tape to the high school prom. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on information entered onto a form on the website.
