I am going to London from Mar 5-Mar 11, and I want to know, should I bring my winter's coat or just a light jacket for the weather? Plus, since it seems like its going to be very humid, would it be better just to pack something like a light jacket or hoodie?

i would bring layers for London and an umbrella sometimes its like 50 to 60 degrees when i was there it was 70 and they said that was a heatwave..the truth is its chilly there and it rains alot...so bring light jacket with lots of sweatshirts and gloves too..have fun you are going to love London!!!!! you have to go to Leeds Castle and the grocery stores down there are really cool in London and i went in one store that had a red carpet and someone playing a piano in a boutique!!!

I would take a rainjacket, a light fleece you can wear under it and perhaps a hoodie. you might be needing all three on at once, depending on the spring. sometimes you can get away with the light jacket that time of year, but better to be prepared. the rain gear is essential, though.

My best advice would be a raincoat with a removeable liner which should take care of rain, cold and also windy weather. and would save space in your luggage.preferably a coat with a hood if not you can stuff a woollen hat in the pocket. Have a wonderful time, but keep a firm hold on your purse even in shops purse snatching is rife in some big towns in England.

I think I would wear a coat and pack for layers. London could be cold in March. Layers will let you peal down if you need to. That said... We always tell people to pack light.... if you forget something, you'll be able to get it there. Bring a Columbia Dual Shell Jacket. That way if it gets cold you can use it, or leave the fleece inner layer behind.
