You can spray her with Solarcain..My little dog had the same, and that is what the vet told me... It works well.

Leave her be, have u never had a shaving rash? she is healing fine, the vet is happy with her, thats what dogs do, heal themselves with their own saliva.
Had mine spayed a year ago, same thing happened, it cleared up on its own without a problem.

I'd leave her be, my yorkie did the same. It's their way of cleaning and healing the wound. Try giving her a chewy treat to draw her attention away from licking her tummy. She'll be fine, just keep an eye on it.

I had my female dog spayed a while ago and she did the same thing. I put drapolene (used for nappy rash strangely enough) on her skin. It does not smell too good to a dog, but it works wonders on healing rashes and burns and its mild and safe enough to use on dogs
Hope this helps

you don't say how long your dog has had this rash. But I would take her to your vet as skin problems can become infected very quickly. As i had a dog for 14 years with sensitive skin.

if you take her back to the vets.and show them what is happening.they will supply you with a cone collar to stop the dog licking her tummy. also may i say well done in having your dog spayed.. just wish more people would have it done as there are to many unwanted dogs around

It's called an Elizabethan collar. And that would help. Talk to your vet about a desensitizing cream for her as well. Poor girl, it will be worth it later helping to keep her healthy.

u need 1 of them "lampshade collers" i always thought dogs had there own healing thingy in there tounges that was untill we had ours spayed n the vet gave her one of them light shade collers,he said if she licked at the wound it would get infected, i said i thought dogs had like an antiseptic or something in there tounges n by them lickin them selfs it helped in healing, our vet said "That's old wifes tales" and the only thing our dog would get from licking her wound would be a infection!

Your dog should have been supplied with one of those collar hat thingys to prevent her from messing with the stitches. As far as the rash is concerned you will need to get a lotion from your vets, but you will need on of those collar hats things. It won't get better without it.
