COLA changes weekly, if not daily. as a Single Marine, you will be living in the Barracks anyway and eating inthe Galley. you won't have any expenses to speak of, uinless you are the type who wastes money partying till all hours of the night or likes to buy expensive toys.

There is no such thing as "overseas pay."

If you're stationed overseas, you will get cost-of-living adjustments (upwards, but not downwards) if you're living someplace expensive. (Okinawa is probably one of those places...yep...for an E-5 living off base, about 300 bucks a month)

You're probably thinking of TDY pay, which is where the real money is. That's for Temporary DutY, when you work someplace other than the place where you are officially stationed. This is usually for no more than 180 days. TDY pay can EASILY be 3 times that COLA difference (or more...probably more), but housing will often have to come out of that. (You still come out ahead, though)

There are other special pays, which you may or may not get depending on your particular job. But those are the ones relevant for Okinawa.

you at the instant are not being taken care of like **** area of being in the army is which you're separated out of your loved ones. while you're E3 or under there is not any way in the army or Marine Corps which you will get observed orders to Japan, Spain, Germany, Italy or maybe Hawaii in view which you could't stay to inform the tale on the pay which you get and the cost of residing. once you purchased those orders that become area of it, you have a million 3 hundred and sixty 5 days left, stick it out by using fact in case you do something stupid then it is going to impact you for something of your existence. it incredibly is not any worse than being on deployment. you have become BAH according to her zip code, you have become family contributors Separation pay each and each month. she would be in a position to fly to bypass to you loose with the help of potential of military delivery or very low value and you could bypass bypass to her. in case you experience which you're nonetheless having issues then consult with the Chaplain.
