Thinking about it will make you more anxious, but it is normal to feel some sort of fear or anxiety. Unfortunately there is nothing much that can be done about it. You can perhaps ask your doc to prescribe you some valiums or something similar to calm you down prior to the procedure.

You know you have to proceed with operation. Yes, it's annoying and can even hurt, but hey it's not a Dark Ages, they give you painkillers.
