i ve a pirated cd of windows xp.i installed the same copy of windows on my friends pc....wen i installed windows media player 11 on my pc, the validation process fails but wen i install the same wmp11 setup on my frnds pc it gets smoothly installed ....how can this happen????
is there any way to validate wmp11?????

You need to purchase a legal copy of windows. Its a server side check on the product key.

After downloading the file --- RENAME the file with .reg extension
After doing this run the file then click yes option.
That's it, now u can install WMP11 & Internet explorer 7

You can Validate the Copy of Operating Systems, not only a WMP 11, for your Informations even Internet Explore 7.0 u cant upgrade or use it for that windows
