How do I blow fake smoke from a cigarette?

My friends and I are making a short film for school/final exam and I play a girl that smokes weed constantly.We have a fake cigarette but now is there so type of smoke powder or capsule that I can put in my mouth and blow it like I been smoking???? In advance thanks so much for the help!

One good substitute is ventolin, you know that asthmatics use, just pump it in your mouth and blow, looks pretty realistic if you don't want to smoke an actual cigarette.

Property houses and joke shops offer fake cigarettes that can be filled with a light powder; the actor either blows gently on the cigarette or carefully sucks in some of the powder and immediately blows it out. When done correctly, the particulate cloud vaguely, but imperfectly, resembles smoke. However, this is more for stage work. It might not read so well on film. Why not just try herbal cigarettes?

You can't make "fake" smoke. Just smoke it. Everyone's going to know it's fake anyway, because cigarette smoke is a whole lot thinner than pot smoke.

PS - Why do I doubt that playing "a girl that smokes weed constantly" is appropriate for a school project?

Like you and none of your friends are that innocent.
How do you know how a girl that constantly smoke weed acts?
And if your using people you have seen, get one of them to play the role.
I'm sorry but I somehow feel your making a film with NO realism if your looking for a way to blow 'fake' smoke. Cast someone that at least smokes tobacco.

Just don't inhale it. One cigarette that is just puffed in your mouth isn't going to kill you. Smoke it like a cigar. Heck use a swisher or something so its not that disgusting.

Maybe you can shoot your film outside when its freezing cold and so the natural "smoke" that comes out of your mouth when its cold can be used as a cig. smoke.
