skinny is not a neccessity for cheerleading, I know a lot of different body types (girls) that cheer and do well. I do say though if you honestly are doing it for health and emotional reasons than you should speak with a doctor or a nutritionist about a diet. This will also ensure a safe and effective diet. Not a haphazard possibly dangerous diet. It will also that the weightloss would be monitored. If you desire weightloss, be easy on your self and your sanity, by making sure you do not:
1.) do it for superficial reasons
2.) do it and it is dangerous health wise
3.) do it and it is to meet someone else's standards
4.) weigh yourself everyday, let alone more than once in a day
5.) limit your intake to a severely low level (not below 1200 nless you are growing, than 1500 especially if you cheer, which is exercise.

First of all, don't get all hung up about being skinny, we have enough of that in the world, and you are probably beautiful as you are. I think if you cheer for at least 30 minutes every day, that is a great workout plan for you already. Make sure you get 30 min. of exercise every day, whether it be walking in a safe 'hood, dancing, whatev. Also, cutting out soda from your diet and replacing it with water and some juices will really help. Good luck, girl!

Eat only when hungry. Eat not more than three times a day unless u r diabetic. Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

Trim Spa..kills the appetite but it will give you a lot of energy
exercise and diet...drink lots of water..stop eating junk foods and caffiene products..coffee and colas
