My bf says we could never be friends if we broke up because he wouldn't be able to stand not being able to hold me, so he'd hate me for leaving instead of remembering us and still sortof loving me. I kindof understand it, but, how does it make sense when he's still friends with all of his ex-es? (and even cheated with the last one????)
Has anyone else ever heard this line? I was just wanting to make sure it isn't just a bunch of bull.

Yes I have but I disagree a little. Me and my ex girlfriend of 4 years broke up in November and we don't talk. I have nothing against her but being friends is not a good idea if you still have feelings for the person because it just reminds you of what you lost and what you can't have. Now even when I .am completly over her, I will only talk to her every once in a while. There is no point of focusing on some one from your past, you should focus on meeting new people and moving foward. My best friend was able to move on from his ex of 2 years in 6 months because he had absolutely no contact with her at all during this time. Plus another thing would you really want to put a new relationship in jeapordy because you still talked to an ex regularly (hypothetically).

because he feels more strongly about you. it also matters how the other relationships ended. if he broke up with them then he didnt have anymore feelings for them, but if u dumped him then hed still like you
