A seller from Montana is selling this Sten MK II. I want to buy it. I just barely turned 21.I have a clean record and no felonies. This gun is full automatic and is a Class 3.The guy who is arranging for the transfer, a Class 3 dealer. Told me that the FBI can deny my request for this gun for whatever reason. I have a clean record, I just turned 21, and have a good conduct, what are my chances of being denied my right to own this amazing WWII relic? What reasons can the FBI use to deny me the ownership of a Sten MK II?

Although there are provisions for ALL law abiding citizens to own fully auto weapons, in reality this almost NEVER happens, because the government doesn't not even want you to have regular weapons. There is constant talk about abolishing the 2nd Ammendment by radical leaders in government. There are people who got Class III clearence, but those people are connected to big wigs and can pull strings. Unless you fall into this category, forget it.

Do you mean the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives? They are the administrators of this, not the FBI.
Yes you have to get the go-ahead from them for the class III license deal. Can I ask why on earth you would want a stamped out piece of tin like a Sten? They were about the cheapest firearm used in the field anywhere....
Why not a good old Browning BAR or something like that?
