Addiction is characterized by physical dependence, abuse of, and withdrawal from a substance. Based on your description, it sounds like you have a caffeine addiction, since you described withdrawal symptoms (going crazy if you don't have caffeine one day).

Here's a quiz you can take to determine whether you're addicted to caffeine: http://www.davesite.com/humor/caffeine/

You can overcome your caffeine addiction by gradually weening yourself off of caffeine. This description pertains to coffee, but you can modify it to apply to soda:
"So make sure you reduce your regular caffeine intake gradually. Initially reduce your intake by half. Avoid the other half by replacing it with a cup of mild organic green tea or herbal tea. For example if you are used to four cups of coffee in a day, start drinking two cups of coffee and two cups of mild green tea. Gradually replace the mild tea with with soup or plain hot water mixed with honey and lime. Then replace the remaining two cups of coffee with mild tea and follow the same pattern."

Do some research on the harmful effects of caffeine on your body (it is a form of drug), and hopefully that'll be some good motivation for you to quit.

Good luck!

Withdrawl from sugar also makes you feel depressed. It's not only the caffeine. There are up to 8 cups of sugar in a can of soda. Try drinking Snapple flavored teas (diet). They are still sweet,sugar-free, have no caffeine, and are delicious. I used to be a sodaholic. The affects of sugar is what's making you moody, not the caffeine.

Go thru the pain and find a way to fill that space with love. The other way you might end up on the street corner selling your self for caffiene....?

if you were addicted you would get really sick when you go off drinking cafeine.
You just like it and are giving yourself what ever you want and that makes you happy.
That is a very bad lesson you are teaching yourself. Do whatever you want, whenever you want,
Try to be happy for being really strong and tough and not catering to your every whim. be a man. Being a strong man makes me happy and proud of myself.

you will get issues in case you narrow back decrease back appreciably, so do no longer. As stressful because it sounds, progressively cut back decrease back. occasion: Day a million: 4 cups espresso & 2 cans soda (as widely used) Days 2 & 3: 3 a million/2 cups espresso & 2 cans soda. Days 4 & 5: 3 a million/2 cups espresso & a million a million/2 cans soda. Day 6: 3 cups espresso & a million a million/2 cans of soda Days 7 & 8: 3 cups of espresso & a million can of soda Days 9 & 10: 2 a million/2 cups of espresso & a million can of soda Day 11: 2 cups of espresso & a million can of soda. This quantity is okay, in case you ensure you get sufficient calcium & nutrition D. Caffeine might dissipate a number of those supplements.

It sounds like you're dependent on caffeine. Do you also get headaches when you don't use caffeine? That's probably the most common withdrawal symptom. If you want to quit caffeine you should gradually reduce your intake over several weeks.

It sounds like you are dependent, yes. Getting off of it will probably cause you some withdrawals at first, but it's gotta be better than the roller coaster you're on now! You can do it!

Welcome to the Club!
I too am a caffeine freak, you and I are in the same boat, it is called addiction and it could be called abuser. Those terms are interchangeable.

If you want to quite, but I don't recommend it, you will need to slowly wean yourself off.

You're both. Because you're abusing it for the small fact that you're addicted. You need to go to the doctor. This is not healthy.
