After salvation or liberation or mukti one is situated in one's original constitutional position of eternally having a personal relationship with the Lord.
Srimad Bhagavatam(2.10.6) says, " Liberation is the permanent situation of the form of the living entity after he gives up the changeable gross and subtle material bodies".
Lord Sri Krishna in Bhagavad-gita(2.12) says, "Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings; nor in the future shall any of us cease to be".
So the conclusion is that there is never a time that any one ceases to exist or in other words loses one's identity.
Example is given that of a green bird when entering a tree appears to lose identity and become green with the tree. On close examination one notices that the bird has not lost it's identity, but is sitting on the tree.
This individual soul is unbreakable and insoluble, and can be neither burned nor dried. He is everlasting, present everywhere, unchangeable, immovable and eternally the same.
Bhagavad gita (2.24).
So being unchangeable and eternally the same the soul does not lose it's identity.
Hare Krishna.

soul meeting GOD is a supernatural process which would only happen after our natural identity ends, that is after our physical death. IN HEAVEN THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE OF MALE OR FEMALE, LEARNED OR UNLEARNED .... the point itself is loosing our identity to a person whom you are a part of.

With salvation you truely loose your soul's identity. The soul after salvation rests eternally in the Supreme Personality. I agree with you that we should be scared to be in that situation because with that ends our capacity to seek divine bliss. Divine bliss can be experienced only when we keep God and ourselves separate.

Well, do you mean that the soul becomes God? I have never heard that...I do not believe that we 'meet/become' God. That was never the purpose of creating us. Besides the fact that God is God...He doesn't need us in anyway.
but, I don't think that 'idea' is scriptual in anyway (if I am understanding your question)

Whats in a name? Isn't it God that experiences all things? We lose nothing and find what we truly are.
