The duality of Christ's nature, human and divine, cannot be fully and definitively answered. If we could, we would possess divine minds ourselves.

That said, we theologians have made progress at trying to understand the concepts of the Trinity of God and God the Son's role in that Trinitarian doctrine. There are three persons in the Godhead, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one true, eternal God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory; although distinguished by their personal properties. Jesus clearly stated his divinity in Joh 8:58: Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am." The Jews hearing his claim understood exactly what He was saying and planned to stone Him.

In short, Jesus’ human nature could be tempted. He thirsted, hungered, and at times was full of righteous anger. Yet He never sinned. If He did, we are all lost and God is not God. Christ also was God with all of God's attributes, and these two natures existed in a hypostatic (fundamental state) union.

Wow! There are a lot of answers to this one. I`ll try and make it simple. God is not Jesus. Jesus was God`s firstborn son. It says it plainly in the Bible. Jesus was God`s first creation. Jesus helped God Almighty to create all other things that were created. God`s name is Jehovah, although some Bible translations have completely taken the name out. But most usually, you will be able to find Jehovah`s name at Psalms 83:18. Jesus is spoken of in the scriptures as "a god," even as "Mighty God." But nowhere in the Bible is he spoken of as being Almighty, as Jehovah is. (Genesis 17:1) Jesus was sent to earth to set an example and witness to others about the truth. And Jesus suffered a sacrificial death upon a torture stake just so that our sins could be forgiven. If you ask me, I could never be able to thank Jehovah for sending his son Jesus to our rescue, or be able to thank Jesus enough for going through what he did to save us.

Jesus is God now sitting at the right hand of God the Father in heaven.
Jesus is the Son of God whom God gave to the world to save the world and give those who believe in Him everlasting life.
Jesus is the Son of Man who left His divinity behind in heaven and came down as a mere baby conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
The rule has been laid down by God that without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. Someone must die to remit the sins of the whole world and that someone must be sinless and strong enough to bear the sins committed by all people of the whole world throughout the generations. No one can fit this bill except Jesus, a man without sin and who can lay down His life and take it up again. Jesus bore the sins of all generations without succumbing to the punishment and the injuries wrought upon Him. When He had taken all the punishment of all the whole world and obtained for them eternal forgiveness and all the resulting blessings He declared 'It is finished' and He gave up His spirit and died. He chose to die Himself and He rose up again on the third day to demonstrate that death cannot conquer Him but that He had power over death. No one could have done all these except Jesus. God has demonstrated His love and His justice by not sparing His Son but delivering Him up for us so that with Him we can enjoy freely all things. This is not a joke but good news as mere men cannot do all these things but only a Godman like Jesus. Praise the Almighty God!

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end [Luke 1:30–33].
This is plain language. There is no way of misinterpreting it. This passage is quite literal. Those folks who deny the virgin birth also do not believe that the Lord is going to sit on the throne of His father David. Apparently it was understood that what Luke is writing about is literal. The virgin’s womb is literal, and the throne of David is literal. He shall literally reign over the house of Jacob, and of His Kingdom there shall be no end. That kingdom is also a reality.
Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? [Luke 1:34].
Mary was the first one to question the virgin birth. She said, “How can it be?” This is still a good question. Dr. Luke quotes the angel Gabriel and gives us the answer.
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God [Luke 1:35].
No man had anything to do with the birth of Jesus Christ. We are told in the Book of Leviticus that the birth of a child caused a woman to be unclean because she brought a sinner into the world. Mary is told that she is not bringing a sinner into the world; He is holy. The union of man and woman can only produce a child with a sin nature. By the virgin birth is the only way God could get that “holy thing” into the human family. In Psalm 51:5 David said, “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” Mary’s Son would be different. He would be virgin born.
You can deny the virgin birth if you want to. If you are an unbeliever, I would expect you to deny it. If, however, you write and tell me that you are not a Christian but you believe the virgin birth, I will be terribly upset. If you are not a Christian, of course you don’t believe it. However, you cannot say that the Bible does not teach the virgin birth, because it does.
Do you know why this Baby is going to be called the Son of God? Because He is the Son of God. Remember that Dr. Luke approaches his Gospel from the scientific point of view. He states that he examined Jesus of Nazareth, and his findings are that Jesus is God. Luke came to the same conclusion that John came to in his Gospel, but his procedure and technique were different. Dr. Luke has used plain, simple language to present his findings and if we cannot understand his message, we need to go back and learn our ABCs again.

You do not have a grasp of the nature of God. May I suggest you start reading from the Gospel of Matthew forwards, and see if that may help you somewhat?

He is God and the Son of God, but the rest of what you said doesn't describe Him at all.

At least we have a God who isn't afraid to become one of us, feel like one of us, hurt like one of us, be mortal, feel the pains of a human, and in the end die for all humans. If you ask me, He's way better than Zeus or Odin.

God is someone of total power but at the same time He doesn't mind to bump shoulders with His creations. What God sits in total power just to humble Himself as a poor man and finally goes to hell for a people who wronged Him? He sounds like a good God to me.

no... you are confusing divinity, the incarnation and the hypostatic union... Jesus being fully God and fully man

Just as the prophet Amos can say... I am not a prophet not the son of a prophet... Son of... can mean of the same kind.. Jesus being fully God

Jesus is fully God but also fully man. Jesus had two natures... in His divinity He was God full strength and could not die... in His humanity He was unfallen man and could die

when Jesus said tear down this body and in three days I will raise it again, in JOhn 2 for example He showed He was human enough to die and divine enough to raise himself from the dead

Jesus was conceived by the holy sprit and born of a virgin " A human women". So therefore he is both the son of god and the son of man.

Jesus is God, and Son of God?

YES HE IS!

Three Persons in One God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is a very difficult concept for our human minds to understand. But a simple analogy for this was explained to me this way:

I am a daughter.
I am a sister.
I am a mother.

So I am three persons in one.

Of course this is over-simplifying, but I hope it helps you to understand.
