What "recent studies?"

I don't give much credence to the theory that vaccinations cause autism. (They removed Thimerisol from vaccines in January 2003, yet the rates continue to rise.)

It seems like several here are confused about the issue of a genetic link to autism.

There is no genetic test for autism, but that doesn't mean autism isn't genetic. It just means they don't know which genes cause it for sure. (They do think more than one gene is required) If my autistic niece had an identical twin(same genes), the odds would be about 80% that her twin would be autistic (somewhere on the spectrum.) BUT if she had a fraternal twin (no more related than siblings born apart) her twin would only have a 6% chance of being autistic. That makes it crystal clear that genes are involved.

But if it was 100% genetic, there would NEVER be idenetical twins with one autistic and one not. So genes aren't the whole picture. Something external triggers autism in those vunerable to the "trigger." This is where the theory of vaccinations would fit in IF other factors didn't make that theory so unlikey.

The MMR vaccine and autism link came from one discredited article published in a journal. Since then there have been many many other studies done that can find absolutely NO link between autism and vaccination. None what so ever. It does not exist.

As a mental exercise, even if it did exist, the numbers involved are incredibly small, and so a few children getting autism would be worth it as we would be saving the lives of many more children.

But lets just clear this up once and for all. No link exists between vaccination and autism

First of all, I think "autism" is an umbrella word for many different conditions, and because it is not a single condition, it as no single cause despite the wishful hopes of many a desperate parents. Every time I hear about a new cause for autism, and there have been many over the years, I have to wonder about the so called science behind it. Remember when the scientific community labeled the mother's behavior toward the child as being the cause of autism?

Only today a large study found a missing piece of Chromosone number 11 in children with Autism. There will be more to this as Autism rate is much higher in twins and runs in families.
There is NO conection between vaccination and autism. There have been many studies to back this finding.

somewhat a twist with my answer. All autoimmune ailments - maximum of what you listed - have a similar root reason: A genetic pre-disposition mixed with publicity to a nutrition plan that will develop intestinal permeability (grains, legumes, beans and dairy). that is why diets like SCD, GAPS and Paleo are so powerful for IBD and all Autism Spectrum situations. The study is dense, and it comes at from the variety of Celiac ailment, besides the undeniable fact that it truly is ideal on course. It provides medical rigor to the idea of "Leaky gut" and its connection to distinct topics. sturdy luck, Alan

Actually, vaccination does not cause autism. There have been a number of studies on this. I think parents would rather believe that than think that their genetics may have had something to do with it. Painful, though, and I'm sorry for anyone with an autistic kid, but it's not the vaccinations.

Then how come Lead & Murcury coming into body of small kid? Parents did not spoon feed that ... did they? Why Aummonia-Plasma test is giving high results.

As per genetic connection .... I had all genetaic tests & history done and could not find any connection.

Though none of the theories provide any solid avidence for root cause of problem. In light of new theories, some doctors are suggesting to get minimal vaccination until child is 3 or older.

Do you guys know any solution that is working for you .. specially for ability to learn language (not speech but language) and hyper-activity?

It doesn't even make medical sense that a vaccination would cause autism. My son has it and I'm sure not trying to pin it on a vaccination. He was born with it, pal. Nothing external causes autism.

I agree-there is absolutely no link. The people who keep this hypothesis in volley are entrenched in class action lawsuits or are just gullible. If you research it yourself, I mean really research it and apply true science to it, it doesn't hold up.

It's a shame that too many parents fall for this BS and devote their lives to being a victim of big pharma's greed-it's really sad for their children who could use all that devotion.
