lcds are better for gaming and plasmas are better to watch movies. You have to figure out which one you would want more. I just purchased a 32 inch Samsung lcd today and it is great. Games and movies are awesome.

In my opinion, yes they are. There must be some reason why Sony got out of the Plasma TV market a few years back and concentrated on making a more superior LCD HDTV than any I have seen anywhere.

For the money..
LCD have better resolution, are brighter, no burning image into screen, less power usage, usually lighter. I own 2.
Plasma can be a tad cheaper at the 50" mark, better colors. cooler to tell friends about.
