No, Individuals will do what is in their best interest, based upon what they believe to be true. Some believe if they work hard they will get ahead, others believe that only the strong should survive, but all believe their way is the best way, and they are willing to fight for what they believe.
Jesus did not believe or teach anything like these, to the contrary Jesus taught we should do what is in the best interest of others, that those who worked hard so give to those who do not work. That the strong shall care fore the weak, and be willing to LAY DOWN your life for those things you believe.
Who do you follow Moses, or Jesus?

You should blame the specific religion that the individual follows, not all relgion, for the actions of an individual as not all religions are the same and some are almost antithetical to others either be choice, or by chance.

No. Definately not. Just as you wouldn't blame a race for the actions of some, you cannot blame religion for the actions of others.

Sometimes. For example, the Mormons once taught that men should have more than one wife. Those Mormon men began having more wives. Should we blame the Mormon religion for that? Yes!
Should we blame Islam for the actions of Islamic terrorists? No, because their actions are caused by their willingness to follow a few nut-case imams who are filled with hate but are too cowardly to go blow themselves up. They would rather send some gullible young man to do that for them.

No. Individuals' undesirable actions are often a consequence of leadership by undesirable individuals within their religion.
By the way, this doesn't exclusively happen in religious groups.

If one religion is consistently producing such individuals, then I feel that it's only right to blame the religion.
If it's just one person, then no.

I think there are 2 to blame here..the Devil himself, and our own selves for making the choices we do...Religion is not a problem here, as long as we are accepting of others..God Bless you!
