You don't give any specifics, so it's hard to say.
Sometimes, we don't know why, but sometimes we can figure it out. Is your prayer in accordance with biblical teaching? Are you praying for something that God would disapprove of?
Is there ongoing disobediance in your life? Even the Devil has full faith that Jesus is Savior, but he doesn't obey. If so, confess it and repent.
It may be that what you're praying for isn't in your best interests. Sometimes God has something better in mind for you.
Sometimes the timing is wrong. Moses wanted to help the Israelites in Egypt and ended up killing a man instead. Years later, God used him to deliver them from Egypt.
Sometimes God is still preparing us, sometimes testing us. In any case, ask Him why your prayer isn't answered, spend time listening to Him, and keep praying - the fervent prayer of a righteous man (or woman) availeth much.
God bless you!

First of all, i would like to say, that if you really and truly had full faith in him, you would'nt have resorted to asking others about why he's not answering it. The Lord does things in his own time, and that time is when he thinks it's best or most advantageous to you and your loved ones. Maybe he wants to test your faith in him, and by your question, i'm sorry to say it, but it seems that if thats the case, you have failed. Or maybe the content of your prayers isn't whats best for you, or not as good as something else the Lord has planned for you in the times to come. So i just wanna say, don't lose hope, cause you never know what the Lord has planned. Have faith, and you just might be pleasently surprised. trust me, i know.

If u r asking this question then u do not have full faith in him. The Lord works in ways which we cannot fully understand and will sometimes answer ur prayers in a way u were not expecting.

In the same way, a person who breaks his promises is a jerk. We can see that Jesus breaks promises by looking at Mark 11:24:
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
In John chapter 14, verses 12 through 14 we find the same thing:
I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
When a person says, "ask anything in my name, and I will do it," what does he mean? Presumably, Jesus means that if you ask for anything, he will do it. What else could he possibly mean, unless he is being dishonest? And Jesus does not say it once. He says the same thing over and over again. In Matthew 7:7: "Ask, and it will be given to you." In Matthew 17:20: "Nothing will be impossible for you." In Matthew 21:21: "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." You may have noticed, however, that Jesus is lying. You can pray for all sorts of things and nothing will happen. We all know that. A person who breaks his promises like this is clearly a jerk.

God hears all the prayers of the righteous. But consider the following:
A Christian hunter is hunting bears in the woods. While walking up a hill he grabs a branch for leverage and it breaks sending the hunter tumbling down the hill, gun flying off elsewhere. When the hunter dusts himself off he sees a huge bear charging him. The hunter begins running, but trips and falls, landing on his knees. Seizing the opportunity, and being a good Christian, the hunter begins to pray, "Lord, make this bear a Christian."
The woods are quiet, the hunter turns and, Hallelujah! He sees the bear on his knees, paws together, praying! Listening, he hears the bear praying, "Father, bless this food to my body."
The key point here is that God answers prayers of the righteous, but the answer you get may not be the answer you wanted, BUT it will always be the right answer.
Prayer draws one nearer to God. Use the following pattern in all your prayers and you will see them answered: Adoration, Contrition, Thanksgiving, and Supplication (ACTS) are the contents of prayers to God. See the llinks below for more information.

For our prayers to be favorably heard by God, we must meet some basic requirements.
A primary requirement is that we exercise faith. The apostle Paul wrote: “Without faith it is impossible to please (God) well, for he that approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him.” Having true faith is more than merely knowing that God exists and that he hears and answers prayers. Faith is proved by our actions. We must give clear evidence that we have faith by the way we live every day. James 2:26.
God also requires that those who approach him in prayer do so with humility and sincerity. Do we not have reason to be humble when speaking to God? When people have the opportunity to speak to a king or a president, they usually do so respectfully, acknowledging the ruler’s high position. How much more so should we be respectful when approaching God! (Psalm 138:6) After all, he is “God Almighty.” When we pray to God, the manner in which we approach him should show that we humbly recognize our position before him. Such humility will also move us to pray from our heart in sincerity, avoiding routine, repetitive prayers.
Another requirement for being heard by God is that we act in harmony with our prayers. God expects us to do all that is within our power to work at what we pray for. For example, if we pray, “Give us today our bread for this day,” we must work hard at whatever available job we are able to perform. If we pray for help in overcoming a fleshly weakness, we must be careful to avoid circumstances and situations that could lead us into temptation.
For our prayers to be heard by Jehovah God, not only must we be morally and spiritually clean but we must also prove the sincerity of our prayers by working at what we pray for. Prayer alone is not a substitute for honest, intelligent effort. Jehovah will not do for us what we can do for ourselves by earnestly applying the counsel of his Word and following the guidance of his holy spirit. We should be willing to do all we can in this regard so that he will have a basis for answering our prayers. Thus, we ‘should not be asking for more than we are willing to work for

What are you praying?
What is your motive?
Sometimes that is the answer (no).
If a person has real faith they can see things happen.
Sometimes the answer is delayed and you have to keep praying.
Do you know Jesus?

the forces that be are not something you can beg from, not like genie in lamp or anything. The deal is this everytime you pray you seek guidance or feel faith to your will to handle a particualr thing to happen, maybe you want something just in general to happen but its not. Sadly the will of the universe will not always sway your despite your hopes at times. we will all have times in our lives like that. It sounds like something bad has happened in your life at this time. feel free to talk about it. jesus and god did not spread his religious teachings for no reason. There will be people to help you if you seek it. Its always best to have faith , but believe in yourslef as well, I have no clue what is happening, but if it is within your physical grasp to change something perhaps, maybe that is the reason.I have no clue. please fell free to hit me up.

Maybe He is, just not in the ways you want Him to. Maybe He is in due time, if you faint not. If you have to second guess Him here on Yahoo Answers maybe you are not as faith driven as you think. I will be praying for you to. May God Bless U.

It depends on what you have asked God for, sometimes the answer is no, sometimes the answer is wait, and sometimes the answer is not what you expected. Keep your faith, do not have doubts and keep talking to the Lord, he knows what you need better than you do, he is listening.
