As with everything, it depends on the college and the subjects, but consider this, once you enter college, you are purchasing something. You no longer get detention for not doing your work or passing your class, you just lose money !!! So it is totally up to you how you do in college. It is best to take placement tests to see how you will do. the word "college" covers a very wide variety of majors and subjects, so don't be scared off by the word "college". Check in to it, but just remember, no one is going to hold your hand. They don't care if your work is done or not, you snooze, you loose.

It depends on the college. For a little while I had to go to community college and like, half my graduating class went there. I was really High School: Part 2 only without the Catholic school uniforms and deans breathing down our necks. Universities where you live on campus and are away from home are so much different. There's a sense of freedom and being and adult but some people take it too far and end up acting like children. You have to take care of yourself in college cuz mom and dad aren't down the hall ready to take care of you when you get sick. Usually, some high school drama follows you because there are always those who refuse to grow up. It'll be different because you're out on your own, you have more options when you choose your own classes, and you'll meet a much more diverse group of people. Enjoy the freedoms of college but remember you're still a student and still have parents who will be disappointed in you if you fail.

There is more work involved, but it is better. You're not stuck with the same people all day, and most classes meet only twice a week. You have more of a choice in the courses you want to take--particularly if you do the first two years as a Liberal Arts student. You get to try out a lot of things--to see which you like best, and are best in--in Liberal Arts.
There is a lot more work to do on your own--which I prefer to a teacher standing over my shoulder.
