Growing up I battled acne, and still have stress related break outs from time to time. Proactive didn't work for me and I used it religiously. I tried like everything, prescription and stuff from the store and some things seemed to work for a short term but either dried my skin out so badly it flaked, or eventually made my acne seem worse. I ended up using natural methods, I'm a model and photographers ALWAYS comment on how healthy, soft and clear my skin is... including my face! My secret? I bought several different brands of the cleansing cloths- pre moistened wipes- Biore, Clearasil, equate, dove, you name it. I always wiped my face with two in the morning and evening, and I used one randomly in the afternoon. I just pack them in a baggy in my purse. I also take daily vitamins- from whole foods, the ones you get in the grocery store are just junk. I drink LOTS of water and put moisturizer on every evening. (oil free) Also, chlorophyll- which is the stuff that makes plants green- is sold in gel caps at whole foods and some other places, it's a natural body cleanser. You'll find your skin brighter and clearer. If you can, go vegetarian for a while and see if that helps. I know it sounds funny, but meat has so much pesticide and fertilizer from the grass cows and chickens eat. If your able to get organic foods it's worth the extra cost. Try not to eat fast food or greasy stuff and wash your hands a lot so you're not depositing germs from your hands to your face. Don't drink soda and avoid "sugar-free" stuff, the fake sugar is not good for you at all. This sounds like a lot, but even choosing a few of these things will help, a slight lifestyle change should do the trick. Good luck to you!

Most products that you will take will help for a quick fix, but they are not dealing with the real problem. most people have no idea why they break out, well here is the reason!
Skin eruptions or blemishes can also be constipation symptoms. Constipation can cause acne and it can worsen existing acne conditions. Many people fail to understand the skin is a major organ responsible for eliminating waste. When the liver and kidneys become overwhelmed by substances that need to be evacuated from the body—the skin will try to come to their aid. Individuals who are constipated are backed up with fecal matter and it’s impossible for the skin to remove fecal matter. However, the epidermis can show signs of its attempting to rid the body of toxins by becoming inflamed or breaking out.

You can try some skin care (cleansers, etc) that don't have any toxic chemicals in them. You'd be amazed at the nasty side effects, including acne, caused by some of these chemicals. Neways is the only company I know of that makes a complete range of skin care, hair care, cosmetics etc all guaranteed to be 100% free of all toxic chemicals. You can't get it in retail stores though. I'm a distributor in NSW, Australia. If you would like a free sample shoot me an email and I'll post you some obligation free info and a sample.

GNC's Mega Men vitamin prevents my breakouts even today. The ladies version is Ultra Mega Women's.

It was an unexpected side effect of the vitamin. Also, various things such as stress, hormones, and high fat intake may also cause breakouts. I even get several little pimples if I frequently drink Cranberry juice everyday. The vitamin prevents this as well. Strange huhn.

proactiv. I know, all the commercials about it. I didn't want to spend the money, but when I did and used it, my skin cleared up completely. You can get it cheaper on ebay. I recommend the 3 piece kit of face wash, toner and moisterizer.

Just try to be consistent with whatever you choose. And don't overdo the stuff that burns your skin. And don't touch your face, it only makes it worse.

yes! start asap go a few days without makeup. use an oil free acne wash, in the morning, and at night. make sure your hair is washed every day and not touching your face. The oil from your hair can clog pores. After you wash your face with warm water, and an acne face wash[ i recommend clean and clear oil free foaming facial cleanser about $5.45 at our local grocery store, Target, or CVS pharmacy], . Then put on something with benzoyle peroxide[ i recommend clean and clear persa-gel maximum strength about $4.99 at your local grocery store, target, CVS pharmacy]. Look at the label it should say 10% benzoyle peroxide. after that try a oil free moisturizer.
diet is important, but eating a chocolate bar doesnt give you acne. just make sure your eating healthy, and stay out of the sun. use an oil free sunblock. basically, stay away from oil!
i Will give you step by step instructions.
before bed-
1- open pores by splashing face with warm water
2- wash face with "clean and clear oil free foaming facial cleanser"
3- rinse with hot water.
4- dry with towel.
5- apply clean and clear maximum strength persa-gel
6- let dry
7- rinse face with ice water to lock pores closed, and clean.
8- apply oil free moisturizer[ i recommend Neutrogena Moisture Oil Free Formula, Sensitive Skin its about $10.00]

might i suggest bare minerals? you dont have to worry about forgetting to take it off!

repeat in the morning.
and within a few days enjoy your clean clear face!!! bye breakouts
