I have dated someone for a month and when I told her when she called my home I was watching a movie she got mad.

If this happens in a lot of your relationships, I would say that you have a habit of picking out very needy women. Some people just do not like a lot of space. Most women will be more than happy to have a certain amount of space in a relationship for their partners as well as themselves. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. If my guy wanted to watch a film, I certainly would not be offended. I have plenty of things I can do with my time. I don't need him around constantly to prove to me that he loves me.

To women a movie is sometimes not important enough to get off the phone with. But there is a way to get off the hook next time your fave flick is on. It is all about the way you say it. All she felt propably was that you thought the movie was more interesting than her. So next time make sure you put the movie on pause and then at least talk to her for five minutes and be really attentive and sweet. Then kindly let her know that you are interested in hearing her lovely voice, but you are in the middle of a movie and as soon as it is over u will call. If you make her feel more important she will appreciate that. As women, we are sensitive and nurturing. Even if we were in the middle of getting our nails done, if our man is calling us, we pick up that phone cuz we love u and want to show our respect. So just be a little more sensitive. We are just wired a little differently.

I think it is way more complicated than that..women, in my humble opinion, don't necessarily want you to "give up" your time so much as to share it. The idea is that "we" don't really want for you to do much more than to desire to spend your "extra" time with us. Like the extra time you might take to watch a movie. Life, probably to most romantics, is about the intimate connection of two people, the sharing of events that will eventually lead to memories that can be shared later on. Women, for the most part, tend to be romantics. Instead of feeling annoyed that you have found yourself in a relationship with a person you struggle to understand, maybe you should feel lucky to have found someone who wants to spend time with you because she finds you someone worth spending her time with.What a compliment.

She probably eXpects you to drop everything and talk to her...LOL Some women are like that. They are not independent and eXpect men to make them happy. Only you can do that for yourself. I hope you told her that you would talk to her after the movie was over...

Maybe because she wants to be the girl you think about all the time, the girl that is alwasy on your mind. Usually when girls like guys they hope that the guy is always wanting to be with thme, and thinking about them and being with them. When you wanted to watch the movie instead of talking to her, she felt that you dont need her as much. If u really like her show her you think of her. Just make sure to explain to her that you nedd time to yourslef too. Instead of making her feel like you blew her off for TV.

You're on the right track. But it's the MEN & WOMEN, who excpect it that way. that end up alone. Love is 50/50. Anyone who wants it differently? Gets shoved to the end of the line. Respect yourself, eoungh to know that you have things that need tending to. Don't let her control, every bit of it.

some of us women want to spend all the time in the world with our men.. mainly because we are scared to lose them to some other chick and dont want them to haev spare time to go out looking for some other chick. think about that next time she says that or gets mad.. some dont think.. they just get mad.. and personally talking things out is so much better though.

You know I dont understand...some women are just so needy, it's pathetic...you'll never see me demanding time. I like a guy who can still have a relationship, yet still have a life. I respect that. :) Peace.

SOME women want to be shown that a man will give up anything for his womAn. some how this shows the woman she's his most prized possession and will tend to her every need.
