I think so. You don't have to put up with the akward moments of asking a girl out and you get more opportunities to meet women. Plus, much of the things I do for fun have very few women participating in them. The success rate of me getting a phone number is about 10 no's to 1 yes. Maybe I lack game, but I've found a way to get around my lack of talents!:)

I honestly don't see a big difference in the two.. The hard thing with dating online it's hard to find someone who is really worth trusting, but I guess even in person that's hard to find too..

I met my boyfriend of a year and 4 months on Yahoo Chat! about a year and a half ago.. Now I am happier than ever and everything is going great.. Also us meeting up in person wasn't really awkward.. We knew what we were looking forward to.. Eventhough being nervous was natural..

I guess it's all in what you really look for and want.. Either way.. Trust is a main issue..

I prefer traditional dating. You can't duplicate meeting someone face to face when you are online. There is something about seeing a person, talking to them, seeing their body movements. Those things are very important! Plus, people lie about their appearance or their personality online all the time! There is too much fantasy/fakeness online.....

It's not superior, it's just easier for all those lazy people who don't want to take the time to really get to know someone.

It's so easy to sit at a computer and say whatever you think the other person wants to hear. It's harder to have a real date where you have to have contact, and take the time to develop a real realtionship.

I don't like online dating. What happen to guys asking a girl out the old fashion way? No guts, no glory. What happened to the chase, the challenge?

both online and traditional dating have their drawbacks. with online dating, you skip the awkwardness but you miss the first touch, the shy looks, basically the physical side to dating, wheras online dating is pretty much just you and your monitor cozying up on a friday night!

I guess it is in a way. Like you said, "awkward moments". I think you get to get more in detail too about yourself and likewise. Makes better for a match. I think on-line dating is great! Don't knock it unless you've tried it.
