If there comes a specific time in the future when Christianity would be completely obliterated from the face of the earth, how would that make you feel? Would you celebrate and rejoice? Would you send gifts to one another?

If all religion disappeared we would be better of, That would end most war, and most arguments. I would think it would be worth celebrating as Peace is a great thing to celebrate.

I assume that by exterminated you mean that every Christian stops being a Christian by their own free will.
I would not have many emotions about it, considering I would be dead at that time.
If it happened in my lifetime, my current guess of how I'd respond is joyful. I think I would give everyone a great big hug, and then continue playing Guitar Hero II. It wouldn't be that different; There would continue to be all of the other religions, and the one that would most likely take over for Christianity would be Islam.

There are good aspects of Christianity. I would rejoice if the closed-minded, culturally arrogant version of Christianity which seems to dominate today were to disappear. It encourages ignorance, superstition, selfishness, anger, blind obedience, and fanaticism. However if the Christian qualities of charity, love, and generosity were to disappear, I would mourn (especially if it were replaced by a selfish secular ethic like modern consumerism).

I think the world would be a better place if all religions were eradicated. I wouldn't celebrate or send a gift to anyone; I'd just take a deep breath, smile and say Ahh that's better! and go about my life.

Well it depends what would take its place. I hope doesn't fall to something like Scientology. I would be happy if all people believed in leading a moral and just life without looking to the supernatural/ superstition for answers. Plus i dont like the word "exterminated."
I prefer people move on..... like they did with slavery.

You should read the book "Letter to a Christian Nation" It examines this point. Although I SHARPLY disagree with it, I think it is extremely important to be educated on all positions, even though I do consider myself to be a Christian.

I wouldn't really care. I'd worry that some lunatics no longer had a hell God to keep them in check, but that's about it.
I don't see it as a contest...or a right/wrong issue.
I see it as a poltical struggle. Even a war.
I want you out of the schools and away from the laws/public areas.
If you all want to believe Jesus is magic....go ahead,

I would love to be around when this happens...I would feel a great sense of relief that man is freed from such a repressive force. No more superstitious beliefs in a simple minded, murdering, lying God. Maybe man will be able to realize his/her full potential
