It means as humans that God loves very very much, all of us, there is no where He cannot love us and help us. No where.

Find the meaning of these two words and you should have a better understanding. "Repent", to turn around, in this context toward God. Up and out of that pit. As far as you dig, just turn around and he is right in your face. No matter how far you have strayed just turn the other way he is there.
Or you could "sin", turn away from God and keep digging. Hope you get there to the center of the earth. Even if you do you will not escape the jurisdiction of God. Infinity, everything is God. Nothing, zero is what the devil is about.

It probably means that there is nothing deeper in meaning or context than trhe Lord himself. Everything else is trivial and shortlived yet the notion of a spiritual being is much more meaningful and so is the "deeper pit."

Corrie Ten Boom's sister, Betsie, told Corrie that they must tell people this. At the time, they were in a concentration camp in Germany, Ravensbruck, for helping to hide Jews in their home. (This was during WWII) in Holland. Corrie and Betsie shared the message of God's love with the women in the camp, and after Betsie died in the camp, Corrie continued this task. When she was finally released and the war ended, Corrie traveled the world in an effort to share this message. Even though people were suffering during the Holocaust, God's love could still reach them.

Short of committing suicide (cause it's too late to ask for forgiveness... ) God's love is infinite... regardless of what you do... His love is ALWAYS there... waiting for us to accept Him.
