Yes you are.
If an officer asks you for your "permit" just show him a copy of the US Constitution and direct his attention to the 2nd Amendment and say "Here is my permit"

One interpretation of the second amendment holds that keeping and bearing arms is an assumed and unconditional right of the people. Another interpretation is that the intent of the amendment was to guarantee a source of armed citizens for state militias and nothing more. There is no definitive resolution by the courts of just what right the Second Amendment protects, and there is no federal gun licensing policy.
Legislated regulation of the purchase, possession, and transportation of firearms vary from state to state. To my knowledge, no authority has prohibited ownership of any and all firearms except for convicted felons. Some states have placed restrictions on ownership of certain types of firearms, and many states do not require licensing for hunting rifles, shotguns, etc.
Firearm shops are a good source of information regarding current and proposed gun laws in your state.

The " Right To Bear Arms " comes with REGULATIONS, and by not following those regulations you run the risk of developing a criminal record which in turn would forbid you to possess a firearm in any house or business. The 35 Firearms Act is probably something you should read. As far as a license, this is required when a person intends to carry a weapon on their person. But, Registration of a firearm is required throughout the United States upon purchase of the firearm whether purchased from a dealer or private individual.
GOD BLESS/GOOD LUCK!!

weapons are no longer 'allowed' in faculties. a minimum of pupils are no longer allowed to come back to college with weapons. confident; this would be a rule that's broken; yet how do you envision steel detectors working? TSA style lines at faculties? All faculties? How a number of of the day would be taken up screening pupils stepping into the development, 100s or hundreds of scholars? How a number of of the college day do you opt to grant over to putting young ones via a steel detector? How would each front be secured? What approximately domicile windows? How would you reveal people who journey a bus? What approximately outdoors worry-unfastened aspects? Do steel detectors locate all firearms? What approximately explosives? what's to ward off somebody from looking workarounds to steel detectors? as an occasion; waiting till college is brushed aside and the scholars come out, or pulling a hearth alarm, waiting outdoors, then beginning hearth? would a steel detector have prevented the day gone by's shootings? perchance. i've got self assurance T.J. In many states there is no licensing requirement for guns. Oregon has none and I believe Idaho is very similar. Guns are "demonized" far more often in the eastern US than in the Midwest and west coasts excepting California of course. The federal requirements still apply of course but those pertain to possession more than where you posses it. In some states it's not even a crime to openly posses a weapon but concealing one without a license is, strange huh? Many states have reciprocity of concealed weapons permits, such as Idaho honoring Oregon's.

Depends upon what state you are in. In MY state you do not need a license to have a gun, you do not need to register the gun and it is no one's business if you got a gun in your home or not.
In the more Communist type states, you have to register the gun or have a license for it, if you get to have one in the first place.

Yes, we are allowed to have a gun but it is not allowed without the license. The license is used as a gun control, so everybody who has licensed gun should be responsible for it.

hand gun is ok if you arent carying it , you dont need a license, and rifles and shotguns are ok. you have to be licensed to cary a hand gun on your person or in your car, if you take it to a shooting range it must be in the trunk with the clip or amo holding device out of it. in your home its supposed to be locked up and have a trigger lock if there is a child in the home . you do have to fill out a purchasers permit though for any type gun these days and they can turn you down if there are any sorts of questions about your legal background.

Depends on where you are. The people who just spout off, oh yeah, you need one, may be correct in some areas, not all.
In the Mid-West there are several states that have zero gun registration laws, you inherit a gun, cool. There is no paperwork, Missouri has a gun registration law, Kansas doesn't.
It just depends on where you are.

When you purchase a firearm from a dealer you have to fill out what is called a yellow form. This goes to the BATF and is kept on record so they know who to come after when Libs are in control and want to take your guns.
