This happened a few years ago, i was 16. This girl i had liked for awhile started dating this drug user from our school. It was my birthday, i invited her to my party, and she said she couldn't come because she had to work, which i know was true. She said she'd make it up to me by going to lunch with me sometime. I thought that was kind of weird, since she had a b/f now...we had done things like that before, but i thought it had to stop, but i said OK anyway. So about a week later i called to try and take her up on the offer...and she acts like i'm out of line in suggesting such a thing...i'm like, it was YOUR idea! and then she tells me that i can just come over...but i KNOW that he is there...it's like gee, what is your goal? for me to come over, not knowing he's there, and then just be in the most awkward moment of my life? Has this ever happened to you?

It is very very difficult when you like someone and they may not be as sincere with you. I think this has happened to everyone, no matter how cute, or rich or anything, there is still someone who will be insincere - this girl wants to make her boyfriend jealous at your expense - she likes you but knows you like her, so she is in a position of power, I would say - You need to get busy with everything and anything to keep away from her for awhile, meet some new girls, volunteer, join some groups, - you will find she starts really liking you but it wont be until you start liking some other girl better. I know you can find a girl who will not play these games with your heart. Good luck!

girls think differently than guys do. men are usually black and white in their communication wheras women are often in the grey area......two totally different languages.....you're learning just as I am. good luck....the dating scene, at least these days, is no picnic.

maybe he is jealous of you and her going to lunch. she might want to go but he is not ok with it. my b/f is like that with my friend. i just had to explain that it was fine, i would never hurt him like that. tell her to explain it to him. thats all you can do... other than totally forget about her. but no its not ok for her to lie like that... she shouldnt do it
