was there fruit in water or was it something like powerade. Anyway, probably ok just not much and don't give it to them on purpose. Keep an eye out for diarrhea or vomiting.

No, it's not safe to give fruit flavored water to a dog, because it contains sugar substitute, anyone in the Aspartame family, and it's as bad for a dog as it is for humans.

Yes, if it's the only water you have available at a given time and your dog needs to drink. You should not give it frequently because those products are generally high in sugar and that's not healthy for your dog.

It's probably not a good idea. If it has electrolytes in it, it's not a good choice for a dog. Many of the waters now are sugerless which may contain xylitol which is poisonous to dogs.
Just give your dog plain old water and they'll do much better.

I don't think it will hurt your dog, but the sugars in it may give him diarrhea.
It's best to give your dog fresh, clean, plain water.
