the swollen nipples will feel more comfortable in her mouth, maybe, to her, the swollen nipples are more softer, and feels more real, like your nipple. so why not let she have her comfort.

Yes! We have a hard time finding latex nipples, though, so one day we found several packages at Wal mart and bought every one of them so we have plenty of nipples now. We have just dealt with it. It hasn't been a huge deal, although it is slightly inconvenient at times. I am glad I am not the only one! I haven't met anyone else whose baby likes only latex. Seems like most babies like only the silicone.

I think it has to do with the difference of it being silicone or latex. My daughter prefers latex bottle nipples, but will refuse any soother that isn't silicone (the clear ones).
Try sticking to the exact same type of bottle nipples that she is used to. They have a different shape, flexibility and taste to them than the silicone ones.

my son would only use the clear ones that were fast flow. I think it's their preference
