Me and this girl had been on three dates. All of them went pretty well, and she seemed very interested in me. On Valentines Day, we both already had other plans, so I left her a small stuffed tiger with a poem I wrote for her inside of her mailbox. The poem was nothing lovy dovy, it just talked about how she was unique and about her personality. She called me to thank me and tell me how sweet I was and how I suprised her.
The next day, I asked her out again and she said, "I have class and then im goin out." i asked her what she had planned and she replied, "im goin out." That was four days ago and I haven't talked to her since.
Do you think the present might have been a bit too much?

hard to say with out knowing what you wrote .how ever i have found that girls say they want a nice sensitive guy but when you act like one befor your a true "couple" it tends to send a bad signal .like oh no i got a weak man who cant protect me kind of thing .i know it sounds stupid but I'm a girl and i once dated a man who i found super attractive, until we went to the movie titanic,,i know it was awhile ago,he started to cry it was a total turn off and that was the last time we spoke .the man im with now has cried and its a total turn on but i know he could kick *** for me too.good luck

no not at all. if you have had 3 dates already that means you get along and are pretty serious. let her have her space to figure out what she wants to do. call her and say you wanted to know if she wanted to do something on the weekend (give her a few days to think about it instead of 3 hours!) tell her its not big deal if she can that you just had fun with her and wanted to hang out a bit more. you'll be fine, if she rang to say thanks shes interested, otherwise she would have called her friends to talk about you! good luck darl

Not necessarily. She really might have had plans that day, and maybe she didn't want to tell you about them for whatever reason. Try asking her again in a few days.

Perhaps...you know, youre still in the early stages, dating...and I guess she saw your gift as too much. I say you give her space and don't insist, let her come to you if she is interested. Don't think about much, I wouldn't look into it if I were you. Just let things happen naturally, and act on how you feel, not on logic. Good luck. :) Peace.

No. It wasn't anything eXtravagant..like a dozen roses and a ring. I mean it was pretty sweet and simple. I think she's just busy..try calling her again and make plans with her if you like her. You sound like a good guy.

i dont' think you came on too strong. i think you made the right choice to give her a present on valentine's day. that's what most girl likes...mayb you should reconsider on whether she cares about ur sincerity. You're perfectly right for doing that. Don't worry...so just ask her...wut;'s going on.

no I do not think the present was too much. Maybe she had met someone before you gave her the gift and she just did not want to tell you. I think the gift was nice

The gift was fine, but you need to calm it down now. she's got other things besides you on her mind. Just take things slow. The best relationships started off as friendships.

Sounds like she's deciphering whether or not to go anyfurther with you. Give it another week, and if she doesn't make a move, you do. MOVE AS IN talking and stuff, not physically.

No, I don't think you came on too strong. If she told you what you did was sweet, then she liked it. She might be playing hard to get, just to see how you'll react.
