Of course it hurts. But, like any pain that isn't chronic, it's easy to forget. People have different experiences with navel piercings so you can never be certain how you'll react. I thought I was going to vomit after I got mine done, but that was b/c of all the adrenaline.

I have had my belly button piercing for about 7 years now. Not once has it been infected, and I change it somewhat frequently depending on my mood & what I'm wearing. And not once have I regretted it. Using a barbell has made all the difference for me; I think the rings tend to get caught on things like buttons & such which can lead to damaging the piercing.

I really don't care about "fads". I don't care that people say navel piercings are "out" or that tattoos (of which I have 4) are "out". I got them b/c I like the way they look & that's all that matters.

Everyone has different reactions.
If its done by a pro. that you trust and feel comfortable its quick and its not unbearable, afterwards though yes it sensitive and the slightest touch hurts.
hygiene is important and after +- 2 weeks you wont even know its there ive had mine for 4 years.
Ps : dont compare a belly ring to a tattoo one is with you forever even if its out of fashion ( or you get sick of looking at it ) the piercing all you have are 2 tiny holes.

It is semi-painful. If it's your first it'll be the nerves that can get ya. Can't hold your breath or you'll get yourself lightheaded. It really is a pretty quick piercing and not the most painful (in my opinion...I've had my fair share), but I'd say that the piercing itself can be sore (and bothersome at first), and should be cleaned regularly because an infection will hurt much more than the piecing!

Belly button piercings do hurt. I have a couple of friends who have them pieced and they said they wished they wouldn't have gotten it piecerd.

Not really just feels like a hard pinch the worst part of any piercing is the clamps the pressure they make you feel and discomfort lessens the actual pain of the needle going through your skin.

It didn't hurt me! I was standing up whe I got mine because I wanted to see it. I didn't actually look at it but it was over in seconds. When he finished I was a litlle dizzy the first step I took and I had to sit down for a minute. That was no shocker because he told me I would feel light headed for a minute after.

All piercings hurt, but to what extent depends solely on your personal tolerance to pain.

No one here can tell you what it will feel like to you, people can only speak for themselves. To me, it was a slight pinch and a little stinging and that was that. To others, it might be worst than having a leg amputated.

Of course it hurts but it's not nearly as bad as my nipple or my tongue did. It hurts more after but only because clothes are rubbing against it. I just had mine re-pierced on Saturday and I love it. I forgot what it looked like to have jewlrey in there :)

Depends on your pain tolerance....Go get it done and find out...It isnt bad and if youre that afraid pop a tylenol before you go...Just dont tell em cause they wont do it due to the fact that it prevents clotting...Not that you bleed from it anyway but i say go for it.... It was a 1 out of 10 when i did it...I have 2...
No biggie...
