from getting out he's cage. He does by himself and I to tie the door shut. I don't like doing that. Is there a way I can teach him to stay in he's cage?

Make sure there are plenty of toys and things to keep him occupied while he's inside. If he continues getting out when you're not home or when everyone is asleep, then I'd get a lock and put it on the cage. Usually a normal rotation of toys keeps them curious enough to not focus on getting out of the cage though.

Buy a small lock to put on the door of the cage. You can find small key locks in any discount store. Also put some mirrors in his cage. Birds love to look at themselves for some reason. This will help keep him entertained.

Nope. He's leaving the cage 'cause he is BORED. Put some DIFFERENT KINDS OF toys in there; provide him with a birdie play gym...

Your bird might be trying to get attention, or he's bored and wants to stretch his wings. I would give him toys, or trim his feathers and let him hop around outside. I hope this helps!
