Thats nice, as a man from Bursa but lives in the States its so very nice to see someone is looking for a way to go to Bursa, I guess I feel homesick tho.Well, do the best and if u go to Istanbul by plane, take a subway direct to Otogar which is the International Istanbul Bus terminal and take a short trip around that bus station and look for Bursa's local coach companies; one of them is Nilufer which is really awesome and take that bus and go to Bursa, it takes about 3 and a half hours tho. So, u can go there and it will be much safer as well...There are some otehrs i think Kamil Koc, Uludag, Metrowhat have you... Regards...

An easier and more enjoyable way of going to Bursa from Istanbul is to take a fast ferry to Yalova from either Yenikapi on the European side or Kartal or Bostanci on the Asian side. From there, take a bus that will be waiting for the boat passengers on to Bursa. This should cut your travel time by a couple of hours. If you go the whole way by bus, you'll have to go around the Sea of Marmara through kilometers of factories in Izmit.
