Need some advice... me and my girl of 8 years have had a great relationship up until about 3 weeks ago when I was suspecting she was cheating on me, when she needed some help from a guy to get on the police department. She said all it was, was him helping her and nothing else. Yet, she was hiding text messages, calls, and emails.
Well everything went back to normal and I am fine. But I brought it up tonight, I told her just to tell me. I guess we took a "break" about 2 weeks ago and thats when I was suspecting maybe she messed around with him. She swore up and down she didn't.
Tonight, I said jokingly, "if we broke up, after 9 years, and the next day I had sex with another woman, would you be mad?" She said, "no, I would have no right to be, we weren't together." Keep in mind the few day break we took about 2 weeks ago.
Anyway, I know it comes down to trust, but she's done this before.
What do you all think??

I know it comes down to trust. I've confronted her about it.
I would just think, after a 9 year relationship.. it'd be a little messed up to go around and have sex with another woman. But yet she told me, if I did it, "she'd have no right to be mad"

If it happens again, tell her the truth, that you love her, but some how your trust is fading, and it's out of your controll, ask to see the messeges, It's probably nothing, but tell her you're sorry if you're wrong.

Damn I hope your not talking about a retired cop from Detroit b/c if you are it better not be the guy I was dating we broke up around that time and he has since called to get back togeather he is 52. If it is answer this and I will tell the pig never to call me in life again.lol Name is Michael

Sounds to me like she would have no right to... because she'd be the "pot calling the kettle black". It's a really pathetic copout!!! Understandably, this isn't what you want to hear... but she has either cheated or is currently cheating on you. If you really want to find out who the text messages are going to, or coming from... you can go online to whoever her carrier is.... sign up for online account... and view the bill.

shes a skank. sorry babe but you could do so much better than some using *****! you is not worth your love and support. tell her if you doesnt pick up her act then your gone, and really go. dont bother with her! you could get so much better... trust me i was once that skank and i never really knew how much my b/f ment to me till he said that to me... we have been together for 3 years now... good luck! oh and if you doesnt want you shes not worth it, get someone else who cares
