I am wanting to marry a guy who claims to have a worker's visa but when I ask to see it there is always an excuse. I just want t o know what I'm getting myself into ahead of time..Any suggestions for me? Do I need a lawyer to make it a legal marriage? What about a prenup? What should be included in one and are there loopholes since his English is great, but if he claims he doesn't understand it later on in life.

He is probably trying to get a green card , but remeber you are the one in control here. He can not get papers unless you agree in submiting them. If you love this guy and you find out that he does not have a green card. Don't put any papers in and if he sricks around you will know what his true intrest is

If you're doubting his honesty as to the green card and you're worried that he might try to get out of a prenup later by claiming he doesn't understand it, are you sure he's the guy you really want to marry? You've already given two instances showing that you don't know whether or not he is trust-worthy. Marrying someone you don't trust is just asking for trouble.

Prenup is up to you and your preference.
You can marry someone even if they aren't legal. They can then file for a green card through you.

You want to marry this guy but he won't even let you see his green card? Wake up and smell the coffee - this guy is using you to GET a green card, and NOBODY needs to get married that bad!

This guy is probably still married to someone outside the US and he's trying to use you to get the greencard, get divorce and then bring his family here! Ok, I just think of the worst, that's probably not true, but... seriously, you don't know anything about this guy and you want to marry him?

your good, you wanna prenup if he loves you he will give you what ever you want with out question.
love is tricky.
