AIDS is thought to have originated in sub-Saharan Africa during the 20th century. It was transferred to humans by a similar route as some classic Old World infectious diseases. The ancient Old World was the incubator of many diseases like smallpox because it had large human populations in close association with large animal populations, especially those that lived in herds or social groups.

There is a film documentary linking the African HIV plaque to a couple of oral polio vaccination projects in the late 50's done by Europeans. The Royal British Scientific community spent a considerable amount of effort defending some Belgian's who apparently used contaminated Chimp organs infected with SIV (simian immunodeficiency virus) instead of monkey organs to make their polio vaccines. The theory is they accidentally inoculated over three million sub-Saharan African children in the Congo region with the HIV virus.

It is either a lie, a horrable accident, or the biggest case of mass murder in human history.

AIDS is caused by the Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The virus in its human infectious form is known to have originated in Africa sometime around the middle of the 1900s. It crossed over from non-human primates, where the virus originated, most likely from wild chimpanzees in the southeastern rain forests of Cameroon. The cross-species jump most likely occured when a chimp bit a human or a human cut himself while killing/eating a chimp.
