I helped a friend with hers and it turned out nice, I would paint the walls in a warm yellow if you have the wallspace. We went to Lowes and got cheap ceramic white cabinet knobs and I hand painted all of them in a ceramic paint you can get at the craft store, I think you have to put them in the oven for a little while after you paint them for the paint to set. But we used blues and oranges on the knobs, you can look up painted tiles and get an idea of a pattern you like. A wine rack is a nice thing to add and copper pots, even a pot rack if you have room for one. Bright colorful dishes and pottery displayed above the cabinets looks nice and Tuscan and if you can, remove a couple of cabinet doors and display pottery and dishes in there. If you want a more upscale Tuscan look use tumbled stone on the floors and backsplashes and aged bronze pulls and knobs, granite or stone countertops work well too. Hope this helps!

There are lots things you can do to get a Tuscan feel . Walls are you usually a warn color like a golden yellow .You can rag this over a lighter version of the same color and it will give the look of plaster or you you can look for Venetian plaster at lumber yards. Furniture and cabinets are usually warm rubbed colors. An old dresser refinished in a green over terracotta and then rubbed will make a lovely side board. Use sunflowers ,roosters, bottled vinegars. Open cabinets are a great idea, as for switch covers
get creative copper leaf them then tone down with a glaze and seal. A good place to look for ideas is the movie Under the Tuscan Sun,remember all the colors are those of the sun and countryside.
