What makes friends soo different from the guys girls go out with?

When a girl says your her best friend but she will never go out with you,do she really value you that much?Does that make the guys she goes out with expendable or something?

I am in that situation. I have a guy friend who happens to be my best friend... we always tell each other that. but really when i say that i am really thinking..i would love to be your girlfriend but i just dont have the guts to come right out and say it. i love my best guy friend. as for the guys we actually date we are just wasting our time with them until the guy friend makes a move.

lol, yes in a way it does. let me tell u a story. i was very very close friends with this guy in high school. he was the first person i met on the first day of school and a year older than me. we remained tight even after he graduated. he always told me he liked me but i told him it would never happen. but after i graduated...one day it just happened. then we were together for liek 8 months. we still talk...we are still close. but its no where close to what we had before we ever hooked up. even though when i was with him, it was the happiest time of my entire life...if i could do it over i would have never hooked up with him. we lost the friendship we had. we are still friends..but not the same as we once were. So, yea she does value you that much. it really will ruin the friendship...i never believed that until it happened to me.

If you are a girls best friend that means that she cares about you and values your relationship with her. She can depend on you and as a guy "friend" she is not attracted to you. The difference between a guy "friend" and a bf is that you want to have seX with him.
