Be aggressive, kiss him. I would love to have more girls make the first moves, grab his hand in the mall, kiss him on the cheek when your at the movies, trust me.. If he doesn't respond, move on and mabey the whole friend to relationship thing wasn't meant for you guys!

Hi! Yeah, the beginning of a relationship can be awkward...or it can be fun! After all, isn't the first kiss supposed to be the best?? So why rush it? Remember all of those funny tingly feelings & excitement you felt in the beginning with your last boyfriend? You are in the fun tingly phase now. Enjoy it! And, please, don't try to make this relationship the same as your last. You said that you wanted to move on. So, now is your chance. Move on! Make something totally new & different. You also said that you were with your last boyfriend for 2 years & if this new boyfriend is already your good friend, then you should be together for a while too. There will be plenty of kissing in two years, right? Take your time & enjoy the sweetness. That is what I try to do every single day!
I remember once, when I was younger, I had similar feelings to you. When nothing happened, no kisses, no hand holding, nothing, I felt awkward & frustrated, so I dumped him and really missed out on what could have been a great relationship with a good friend.
So my advice is: RELAX (this is not a race), HAVE FUN (enjoy every tingly moment!) & HAVE FUN!!!

You are in desperate need of some honest communication. It won't come easy at first. It would probably be much easier if your were to address the issue in writing rather than face to face. Nerves can cause the words to go in the wrong direction. I will present a "for instance" you can ponder and personalize if you like the idea.
Hello ?,
I believe we have allowed the transition from being friends to dating, occur without properly addressing some very important issues. I am going to make an attempt to bring them to the forefront and ask you to think through them and give me your honest feedback.
First off, I feel a tenseness in the air between us. Words that used to flow between us with ease have suddenly become elusive. We are not relaxed. I am certain that you feel it also. Are there things that you want to say but don't feel secure about my accepting them? Or do you just go blank? I am dealing with both of these issues myself.
Second thing is, Some amount of physical contact is normal at our stage in a relationship. As friends, this was taboo. I will always hope that our friendship will only grow as a couple. The only difference I would hope to see is that our friendship would develop into the beginnings of love. Don't let that scare you, OK. I want you to touch my hand when we sit next to each other. To put your arm around my shoulder when we walk down the hallway. In private moments, I would even like to feel the sensation of our lips touching in a kiss. I just don't know how to help us move to these things.
I am scared, just as you probably are. I only know that I want this to work and I am willing to face these fears in order to have a lasting relationship with you.

Doing the right thing isn't always so simple, is it? Trying to do the right thing raises many questions. and it is important to look at small issues as will as big issues. But your question must be addressed if you're to have any chance of finding principles and strategies that will help you live satisfied and at peace with. Just remember what is doing the right thing? good luck to you and have a. Happy New Years

i think that it wouldnt be awkward if u guys really liked eachother. i've dated a best friend and we had no awkardness at all. we were best friends for 4 yrs. told eachother everything we were so comfortable with eachother it came naturally. so maybe u guys really don t like eachother in that way. maybe ur just on the rebound or dont want to be alone so ur looking for the closest person u can find. b/c i dont think it should be awkward.

Lol. I know how you are with that. I was the same way with my girlfriend. Talk to him about it. Make him want to. be like "So what if we held hands?" Or if you do and he just seems nevious say "I like it when we hold hands alot." and with kissing do the same. Just ask about what he thinks about it. I remember me doing that to my gf. I would ask her "So what if i kissed you? Cuase... i kinda really want to..." And she said "I want to too." So try that with him. Good luck.

If you are secluded for a couple of days i.e., take some sort of a vacation somewhere-get away-where he can't run and the magic will happen...you'll see...
