Happiness is different for each person. Everyone has an ideal that they strive for and for them that is true happiness. And that ideal may change often throughout life, it is not standard or set in stone. I am not sure what happiness is to me, I find comfort though in feeling safe and secure.

Adam Smith once said that happiness comes mainly from the consciousness of being loved. And he was probably right.

If having money made people happy, then all the rich people would have been very happy. But that's not how it is in real life. There are plenty of rich people who are very unhappy for one reason or another.

But people who have many loving relationships with those around them are usually happy, unless there is something medically wrong with them.

Happiness is what one makes of it depending on the person. Happieness is a state of "Being" to have happiness one must "BE" happiness. So for someone to have happiness they need not search the out side world for it but seek there own inner world to find there own happiness.

"So be it"

True happiness occurs when you have learned how to put things into perspective. With maturity we learn to value the small things in life, and how to find joy in them.
At a certain point I realized: hey, I have no control over the past. It's over and gone. Let it go. Think of the good times; don't dwell on the bad.
The bad, sad, etc experiences can help us to realize how good we really have it.
We're alive, healthy, living in a free land, etc.
Take joy and share joy with others.
